Went completed all the A, B, C & D rectangular pieces, we going to attach them together with whipped seam.
Refer the picture for the edges to be seam together.
Place the A(WS), D(RS) & C(RS) as picture above and whipped seam all the pieces together.
Seam the side edge, bottom and the other side. Use stitch marker to help on the position.
Bring in B and seam with the same method.
Sew a button to the buttonhole position on rectangle B
Strap
Next, we going to crochet the strap. If you lazy on this step, you can buy a ready made strap too.
I choose different yarn type and colour for the strap to give it a little bit of touch up but still make the bag design simple.
With 2 strand of lace yarn held together, crochet 2 rectangles to attach to the D rings.
8sts X 16rows linen/moss st.
And a 13ocm long strap.
8sts X 130cm long linen/moss st.
Place the 2 small rectangles on the D Ring and fold to half and sew them together. Insert the long strap to the adjustable buckle and one lobster hook from one end of the strap, bring the end under the adjustable buckle like shown in the picture.
Sew them all in place. Don’t forget the other lobster hook to attach to the other end of the strap.
Now sew the D rings to both of side of the bag and the strap is ready to hooks to the D rings.
My new bag is completed. The book is A5 size for scale reference. Compartment inside ideally to separate phone with others item but it can fit my long purse too.

I love this bag! A friend sent me the pattern. For the harware, I am having trouble searching for 2.5mm clasps, D-rings and sliders. Can you supply a link for these?
Hi Dee, I donโt know which location you are. Perhaps you can search in Amazon or Etsy ?
I generally use Amazon, could they be 25mm?
It is 25mm. Did I listed 2.5mm or 2.5cm? Sorry for the error. Will correct it.
Hello! Thank you for sharing this pattern with us! Can I check what size yarn are you using for the bag since the link for it says recommended 2.5mm hook size but the weight you mentioned is bulky?
Hi Charmaine,
Thanks for liking my pattern.
For this bag material listed;
Crochet Hook sizes 5.5mm & 2.75mm
5.5mm hook to work with Cotton Yarn, Bulky weight for the main bag.
